Brooklyn Baby

Hey babes!

It has been a hot minute since I've posted. I'm so sorry about that! I've been trying to give myself a month of relaxation, but that didn't turn out too well. I've been traveling and transitioning into a new position I took on at work. Many of you guys asked if I was a full-time blogger and the answer is: I am not. I work full time, and I only have time to blog on the weekends; therefore, I don't get much of a weekend's rest. It's definitely a lot of work, but I enjoy doing it. I love blogging and I've always wanted to have my own blog since high school, so I'm just going to do me.

This outfit was taken in Brooklyn, NY and, oh boy, I was so happy. I've never been to New York before, and I've only heard of stories and seen pictures. So, when my boyfriend and I were visiting a friend in Philly, we all decided to take a train up to New York for a day! You guys have no idea how excited I was! If you know me, I've always been a California lover because that's where I was born and where half of my family lives, but I fell in love with New York.

We were only there for 8 hours, so we had to plan accordingly. Unfortunately, we didn't get to go to Manhattan or Central Park (all of those cool/hip places), but we decided to go to Brooklyn! The train ride from Philly to New York was about an hour and a half, right when we got there we took the subway up to Brooklyn, and we were all super excited to eat! I definitely felt like one day was not enough, but it was a spontaneous trip, and I really enjoyed it and would definitely go again!

Polka Dot Crop Top with Flare Arms and Detailed Bow Ties: Topshop (it's actually on sale now!)//High Waisted Jeans: Thrifted// Shoes: Tretorns (I wanted to wear sneakers because I knew we were going to be walking all day)// Backpack: ABLE// Sunglasses: Ray-bans// Belt: Madewell

If I wear a crop top, I usually pair it with high waisted bottoms because I don't like showing a lot of my stomach. I probably own a total of 2 belts, and this black belt is my favorite! By adding the belt, it makes the whole outfit come together! Also, I paired it with a backpack because I knew we were traveling around and it was big enough to fit everyone's stuff in there. My backpack felt like it was Mary Poppin's bag by the end of the trip.

Hope y'all enjoyed this outfit and I think it'll be cute to wear to festivals too!

Until next time. Ciao!
