Tower To Heart
Wow, I can’t believe the month of January is already over. I don’t know about you, but it flew by so quickly for me and I don’t think I ever had time to really reflect on last year. 2018 started off amazing, so many big opportunities happened and I started to really get going on this blog; yet, somewhere near the end of the year, it started to get really bad for me. I felt like life wasn’t real and that this wasn’t happening to me. I’m not going to get into details, but if you are reading this, I totally feel how you feel sistah/brotha! You are not alone in that.
Just when I thought 2019 was going to be great... boy was I wrong. Whatever. Whether it's last year, this year, or next year, you should try to live life as positive as you can. I use to be so annoyed when people kept saying "positive vibes". In my head, I'm like... "just leave me alone to die." (brownie points to whoever knows what movie this is from) Want a hint? It's from Lilo & Stitch!
Anyways, it doesn't bother me anymore and I think that it doesn't matter what people say. You just have to take in what they say with respect. It is your choice to take to heart what is being said. Recently, I was talking to my cousin and one thing that she said really stuck to me. She said: you can only do the best you can to be a good person and to stay away from anything that brings you down.
To me, I took this to heart because for the last few months I have felt the most depressed I have ever been, but with perspective and encouragement, I started to look at life differently. I find that when you look at life differently (a new way) things start to become clearer and you start caring for the things that really matter in your life. So, if you're feeling anything like this, try viewing a negative thing to how it can be a positive.
